Temporarily Cancelled

UPDATE ON POST TEMPORARY CLOSING & SPECIAL ELECTION

The resignation of our Quartermaster, which is an elected position, necessitated the temporary closure of our Post. The VFW Department of Illinois, acting in accordance with state and national guidelines, had to shut our doors because a Post cannot operate without a Quartermaster.

The March 10 election will seat a new Quartermaster and Senior Vice Commander for the remainder of the 2014-2015 year.

We will also accept nominations for the 2015-2016 slate of officers at the March 10 meeting.

With the installation of the officers filling the two vacant positions and after all obligations have been met, Post 2164 will reopen.
